HOW TO PLAY Whist is played by four players in two teams. The players sitting opposite each other are partners. The player to the dealer’s left leads the first trick. Play continues clockwise, and each player must follow the suit led if they can. If you cannot follow suit, you may play any card, including a trump. The highest trump wins the trick. If no trump is played, the highest card of the suit led wins. The winner leads the next trick. SCORING After all 13 tricks have been played, the team that wins more than six tricks scores one point for each extra trick. Win seven tricks to score one point, eight tricks to score two, and so on. The first team to reach five points wins! Pick your cards, support your partner, and enjoy a classic game of Whist.
