one of best' reader tool
The clean typography and spacing in the reading interface reduces eye strain during long reading sessions. Someone made deliberate design choices about text rendering and the result is a noticeably more comfortable extended reading experience.
File sorting by name, size, date, and recently visited covers every use case I encounter. Whether I want my newest download or my most accessed reference document, the right sort option is always immediately available.
Document Reader opened a corrupted-looking XLSX file that two other apps refused to display at all. The content was intact and fully readable which saved me from having to request a resent copy from the sender.
Document Reader handles scanned PDF documents reasonably well for a mobile viewer. Text is readable and the zoom function compensates for lower resolution scans that would otherwise be difficult to read on a small screen.
The folder structure organization makes intuitive sense for how I actually think about my files. Browsing by type rather than location mirrors my mental model and finding what I need feels natural rather than forced.
I replaced four separate apps with this one. Having PDF, DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX support all in a single lightweight app is exactly the kind of practical solution I was looking for on my phone.
The search within documents feature is genuinely useful for my work. Finding specific keywords across long PDF reports used to take forever but now I locate the exact section I need in seconds.
Annotating PDF contracts before sending them for signature has become a seamless part of my workflow. Adding text notes, highlighting key clauses, and sharing the marked document takes under two minutes from start to finish.
Highlighting in different contexts across multiple documents and having everything persist between sessions makes Document Reader a dependable research companion. My annotations are exactly where I left them every time I return to a document.
