Great App. Just lowered my rating down to three because it does not hook up to Google Drive which is a big shame and missed opportunity.
My favorite app until now, but I must ask, Is this app still being updated? Can't connect to G drive for it is being blocked by Google for security reasons. Also, the CloudPlayer platinum (V 1.8.6 Sep 03 2022) closes by itself every time a song or a radio station is selected to play. This problem does not happen (so it seems... ) with CloudPlayer cloud & offline 1.8.5. I don't understand why... What a pity, for me it was a top, but now completely useless app.
Exceptional
They removed the ability to connect to google drive with the latest updates. This used to be one of the best apps for me to listen to music via cloud. Since I use google drive. The best app I use that can currently do what this app used to do is JetAudio+.
kills my battery like no other app
Update 2: Now 4 years since they lost Google Drive access. Other players have it so what's happened here? Poor. Orig: doubleTwist have told me that due to Google now centrally authorising apps individually via a submission process instead of allowing users to provide access to apps on new devices, Google Drive access/streaming is temporarily unavailable until doubleTwist get the app authorised. Fingers crossed it gets approved soon as this has been my go-to music app since 2018!

Happy to report the Chromecast issue is indeed fixed! FINALLY.
Since the most recent update, cloud player now won't sync the new added folders that I've recently added onto my cloud storage. I've tried contacting support, but it is now exclusively for the devs new app double twist. Unfortunately, this seems like a dying app at this time. Edit in March 2026: the app now just won't play anything. None of the songs or albums actually play. Don't bother buying the full version

Idk. I've had this app ever since 2019 and it really has been such a godsend. No problems, no nefarious intent. Lack-luster growth but hey, it did what it advertised and I'm thankful for that. Recently though within the last 6 months baterry usage is through the roof for a media player, and I always get visual glitches with the Now Playing at the bottom of the app. I know things aren't FOREVER, I'd love to support if that helps. But don't get crazy

“The app isn't like spotify at all, it's basically a player for music you have downloaded (I use it for playing music off Google drive).”
“I look forward to buying my favourite music, sticking it on the cloud, and enjoying it via this fluid, fast, and flexible interface.”
“No ads, and even though I don't like admiting the 8 dollars is 100% worth it compared to having to manually swipe through each song in Google drive.10/10”
