started to force users to upload their ID and a selfie. for a bike app. you just ride bikes. this shouldn't require ID verification
Nice way to get around
sometimes the lock does not unlock but the app says it did. meaning i have lock it again and then unlock
had a terrible time setting this up. the bike I first used wasn't unlocking at all. the 2nd bike I used was seemingly not locking. the instructions aren't very clear and too limited and don't give good visual diagrams. relying on the app to track this all seems to have already led to problems and worry when you can't do anything do to end your biking session. had to do a refund on a fine. went through easily at least. forgiving system.
Customer service is brilliant, with quick response times. I had problems and got locked out of my bike (my own fault not the company's) and their responses were swift and they helped me to get my bike unlocked and get back to the city. On top of that the bike was great and was in good repair. I had no problems with it and it handled nicely. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the area.
Nice, bike, but make sure battery 🔋 😀 are full before using it, because bike gets heavier when it wares out, and it has a ring bell in the right side on the handal all you have to do is turn it. It's a excellent bike for seniors 👍 👏 👌.
dirtbag app took 30 bucks without any warning.
Was in town and went to check out the Hudson River. Parked at the Corning Preserve Playground and found 4 bikes available. Was able to download the app, create an account and set up credit card payment within 3-5 minutes with the preloaded google wallet card option which was nice. Took it 20 minutes north then 20 minutes back for a nice relaxing ride on a beautiful day. Battery life seemed really good and the bikes had a nice unexpected zip to them
I got the 1 month membership and I deeply regret it. Using this app is infuriating. Bike availability is bad, often there is 0-1 bikes at a station. Many bluetooth problems where the app can't find the bike anymore, including if it's listed on the map or even a started trip. Often the only bike at a station doesn't unlock, is seriously broken, or fails with "That vehicle is not available" for seemingly no reason at all. Yesterday I went to 3 different stations, ended up with no bike. UNRELIABLE.
