Learn German with case tables, separable verbs, Konjunktiv I and II and 72 short lessons, from Hallo to formal writing. Offline, with no sign-up.
Der, die or das? Which case? Where does the verb go? This course answers those questions with tables, short lessons and exercises that check every rule, so the grammar stops feeling like a wall of exceptions.
The course has 24 units and 72 lessons of six to nine minutes. It is a structured outline from A1 to C1, not a promise of fluency or of any exam result. Your practice decides how far it takes you.
Articles and cases
• Case tables: the four cases, definite articles, ein and kein, possessives, pronouns, adjective endings and prepositions with their cases
• Accusative with food and ordering in A1, dative and two-way prepositions in A2, genitive and weak nouns later on
• Every noun in the 422-word deck comes with der, die or das
• Exercises that ask you to pick the right article, ending or preposition and explain why the rest are wrong
Word order and verbs
• Verb position, separable verbs, modal verbs and the imperative
• Perfekt, Präteritum, the passive and clauses that send the verb to the end
• Konjunktiv II for polite requests and wishes, and Konjunktiv I for reported speech and news style
• 72 dialogues where you choose your reply, plus formal emails, nominalization and verbs with prepositions at B2
Sounds and umlauts
• A pronunciation guide in eight parts: letters, long and short vowels, umlauts, the two ch sounds, diphthongs, stress and tongue twisters
• Speaking drills with a written tip, and listening with your phone's German voice at slow, normal or fast speed
• Typed answers accept ae, oe, ue and ss for ä, ö, ü and ß, and tell you so
• A speaking check through your phone's speech recognition service
Words and phrases
• Flashcards with spaced repetition, a word bank and timed sprints
• A travel phrasebook with notes on Germany, Austria and Switzerland
• Save lessons, words and questions, and search them offline
Practice and tests
• Placement test, a test for each unit, an exam per level from A1 to C1 and a weekly mastery test
• Daily Challenge: seven questions, the same all day
• Review, the Mistake Notebook and Insights with a weekly goal ring
• Daily goal, streak, XP, levels and reminders
• A home screen widget with your streak and reviews due
• A level certificate and a progress card to share
Good to know
• Lessons, tests and search work without an internet connection.
• Progress is stored on your device only. Uninstalling or changing phone clears it.
• Listening uses a synthetic voice from your phone, not recordings of people, and speaking drills do not replace talking with a person.
• The app interface and lesson instructions are in English, kept simple.
