The two button bars no longer cut the screen into white strips. The stamps sit in a small floating bar at the top, and the tools at the bottom are six round buttons resting on the drawing. There is more room to draw, and the bubbles rise behind the buttons. A solid blue circle shows which stamp or tool is in use. The pencil is active as soon as the app opens, so a child can put a finger down and draw without choosing a tool first.
Baby sensory game: drawing, animal rain, bubbles. No ads, no purchases, offline.
Touch and See is a sensory game for babies and toddlers, with no ads and no in-app purchases, and it works entirely offline. The app asks for no permissions on the phone, not even internet access, so it has no way to send anything anywhere and behaves the same in aeroplane mode. There is no account to create. The idea: a baby touches the screen, sees what the gesture did, and does it again. WHAT IS INSIDE Drawing. The pencil is already selected at launch, so putting a finger on the screen draws a line. The bar at the top also has four stamps (the bear, the sparkles, the truck and the flower), which a child scatters by dragging a finger. Colours. The background fades to another pastel shade. Animal rain. Animals fall from the top of the screen. Bubbles. Coloured bubbles rise from the bottom of the screen. Hide-and-seek. An animal appears somewhere on the screen, then vanishes after a few seconds. If the child touches it in time, "Well done!" appears. Quiz. The question "Which one is...?" shows an animal, and the child finds it among three. A right answer shows "Well done!", a wrong one "Try again!". The quiz button starts a new round. Sponge. One press on the sponge clears the whole screen. MADE FOR SMALL HANDS In this sensory game, the buttons, hide-and-seek and the quiz react as soon as the finger lands. A toddler lifts their finger slowly, often far from where they aimed, so waiting for the release would make the game seem broken. In hide-and-seek and the quiz, the touch area is larger than the animal on screen, so an imprecise finger still gets there. Everything fits on one screen, with no menu, no score and no levels, so a baby cannot get lost in the app. Touch and See makes no sound. The few in-game messages appear in English or French, following the phone's language. Published by Emaginer. From the same publisher: Swipe & Say, a bilingual first-words picture book for toddlers.
