Initial release. Play Japanese Chess (Shogi) offline against AI or with a friend on one device.
Play traditional Shogi (Japanese Chess) offline vs AI with piece drops & hints.
Play Japanese chess on a 9x9 board with Shogi: Japanese Chess vs AI. Move your pieces, capture opposing pieces, and drop captured pieces back onto empty squares. The app includes piece promotion, a restriction on dropping an unpromoted pawn into a file that already has one, and Kanji or Western piece labels. Play against the computer or choose two-player pass-and-play on the same device. Select Easy, Medium, or Hard to change the AI difficulty. A hint feature recommends a move and displays an explanation. Undo lets you step back through moves and try another approach. The board game can be played offline and does not require a user account. The app includes advertisements, which use an internet connection when available. Advertising services may collect and share data as described in the Data safety section and privacy policy. Choose your settings, start a new game, and practice at your own pace. Local two-player mode lets friends take turns using one phone or tablet.
