One of the easiest music players I have used with some nice features. I used the free version for about a year and just purchased the pro version.
This is the perfect little music player app if you keep most of your local music files organized in an albums = folders tree. No fuss with unnecessary playlists: simply play by folder. Settings offer just the options you may need, not more, not less. Sound quality is good, with a built-in equalizer that is basic but adequate. In all, a great combination of simplicity and usability. With an active developer, so paying just a little for this Pro versions is absolutely worth it!

I've had the app for ages, purchased the paid version eventually, and I'm pretty happy with it. However, there's a minor but annoying bug in current version (early May 2026): when "play folder" is clicked, the first song doesn't play until you open the folder, choose the second song and then click back on the first one. Peter, please take a look. The app is five stars nonetheless! Thanks for the prompt response, video sent ✅

I've had this app since 2019. I have never reached out to the developer of an app and had them respond to me IMMEDIATELY. Peter is very invested in the quality of his product and in making sure it works for his customers. We emailed for 2 days, and he was fully engaged and ultimately corrected the issue by sending me a file to try, and it solved the problem I was experiencing. If you want an audio app from an engaged developer who wants to make sure it works, then this is the one for you!

After an Android update before Easter, Folder Player Pro stopped working—very frustrating as I use it daily. I contacted the developer, Peter Shashkin, and he responded immediately. Over the weekend, he worked with me, found the issue, and fixed it with an update. Truly excellent support—thank you for going the extra mile!
