FreshKeep is a calm, simple way to know what food you have and use it before it goes to waste. Scan a barcode or snap a photo, get a gentle reminder before dates pass, and turn what's in your kitchen into a shopping list, a meal plan or real savings — all without typing everything by hand. Most pantry apps either demand constant manual entry or give up the moment a barcode isn't recognised. FreshKeep works offline as a guest from the first launch, with fast manual entry, and adds barcode and receipt scanning, OCR date-label reading and voice entry so you rarely type a product name twice. 📦 KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE • Pantry, fridge, freezer and any storage area you use — including shelves, drawers, a second fridge, office or car • Multiple households/places with separate access per member • A product catalogue separate from each purchase batch, so two tins of the same thing can have different dates, prices and locations • Search by name, brand, barcode or location; filter and sort by status, date or quantity ⏰ USE IT IN TIME • Use-by, best-before, opened and frozen dates tracked separately, never guessed from a barcode • A "use first" list and a calendar view show what's due soonest • Gentle, configurable reminders — 1/3/7 days before, same-day, or your own lead time — scheduled entirely on your device • Mark used, partially used or discarded in one tap, with undo 📷 REAL CAPTURE, NO FAKE DATA • Barcode scanning with live Open Food Facts lookup for name, brand, ingredients, nutrition, allergens and images • Photograph a printed date label — the app reads it, you confirm it • Import a receipt — line items and prices become stock and spending history after you review them • Add by voice ("two litres of milk in the fridge") or take a photo of a few items for suggestions you edit before saving 🛒 SHOPPING THAT KNOWS YOUR STOCK • Multiple shopping lists, sublists and checklist items • Restock suggestions from what's actually low, finished or bought often • "You already have this" hints before you buy a duplicate • Checking off items can turn them straight into inventory with the right price, date and location 🍳 RECIPES & MEAL PLANNING • Build a personal recipe library or import one from a URL, photo or pasted text • See what you can cook from what's already in stock, and what's missing • Plan a week of meals; cooking a recipe deducts the ingredients you actually used, with undo • Recipe suggestions favour items that are due soon — never served as a food-safety claim 📊 INSIGHTS, BUDGET & WASTE • Real spending history, budgets and waste cost calculated from what you actually recorded • "Value consumed" and "waste avoided" are always shown separately — no inflated savings claims • Compare products on nutrition, ingredients and allergens, with the data source always shown 🔒 PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Works fully as a guest with everything on your device — sign in only if you want cloud backup and household sharing • Barcode/search lookups only send the barcode or search text to Open Food Facts, a free open database — never your personal data • Export your data or delete it completely at any time Light and dark themes, English and हिन्दी, and support for more languages, date formats and currencies.
