At godhuli, the cow-dust hour, the cattle walk home to the village as the sun goes down. Chinnu the little calf has wandered off on her own. Amma is waiting at the gate, and Paati has the evening lamp ready. Help Chinnu find her way home. Chinnu's Way Home is a calm maze game set in a South Indian village at sunset. Swipe to walk Chinnu through the lanes. There is no timer and no game over: take your time, look around, and find the way. A NEW PATH EVERY EVENING Journey is a path that never ends. Every path is a new maze, the same for everyone who walks it, growing gently longer and more winding as you go. Every twelve paths is a chapter on your map. THE VILLAGE LANES Walk past red-oxide walls and lime-washed houses, haystacks, a well, a bicycle leaning on a wall, bougainvillea spilling over the corners and kolam patterns drawn at the doorsteps. The whole village is drawn in a cut-paper style, warm in the evening light. THINGS ON THE WAY Press a stone to swing a wooden gate open. Walk over kolam dots to finish the pattern. Pick marigolds for a garland. Nibble tufts of grass when Chinnu gets sleepy. FRIENDS A peacock, a squirrel, an egret, a goat kid, a myna and a frog are hiding in the lanes. Find one and it walks home with Chinnu, and waits in the yard with the friends you met before. KILI THE PARROT Stuck? Kili the parrot flies ahead and shows the way to the next turn. HOME When Chinnu reaches the gate, Amma lifts her head and moos, Chinnu runs to her, and Paati lights the lamp. Every path ends the same gentle way: home. LITTLE LANES Twelve small, hand-made mazes with the whole village in view, for a slower, simpler walk. POSTCARDS Finish a chapter and you get a postcard from the village, with a short true note about life there. MADE TO BE GENTLE Portrait, one hand, swipe or arrow buttons. Soft sounds, the calf's bell, evening crickets. Reduced motion, sound and vibration settings. No account, no sign-up, and the game plays without a network. FAIR WITH ADS Chinnu's Way Home is free and has ads in Journey: a small banner under the maze after your first paths, and now and then a short ad when you tap Next path, never while you're walking a maze. Little Lanes has no ads. Every lane, calf and marigold in Chinnu's Way Home is drawn in code, by a small studio in India.
