cool idea, but it's practically unfunctional without a subscription (need to pay to either like, dislike or send messages to an account). Unless you're dying to spend money on another "dating" app, look elsewhere.
I love the idea of this. But the way it was put out was not good. I was never able to interact with profiles. Once installed, it felt more like the app was saying. "Well. You made your profile, that's it on what's free, " cause any time I'd try to like a profile. It would give me an option to join the premium. Then I'd decline. And nothing would happen

Hi - yes you can see our blog post here https://blog.gamilyapp.com/gamily-updates/ about why I chose to make the app paid. The tl;dr is that we don't have any VC funding, we don't want to sell your data, and we don't want to get you addicted to an app so we can sell ads. So, we need to charge. We think it's fair to ask people to pay.
I downloaded this app a while ago. I really liked the idea. but then the dating part of it started leaking into the friends side and even though i specifically said Friends Only, I only was being messaged by dating people. then came the money grab. you couldnt do anything without having to pay. its like they didnt even care about their free users. there should be an option for ads as well as a subscription. i was hoping to come back and see things were better but judging by the reviews, nope..

Hi Jessica. I'm sorry you had a bad experience on the app. People can switch from dating to friendship, and while we try to keep the two pools separate, we can't stop people from switching what they look for. As for the "money grab" I don't want to get people addicted to my app and then sell their attention and data, which is what a "free" app is.
great concept, execution WIP. I saw ads during Gen Con. but the filters don't seem to stick and there's nobody using the app in my area.
It's ambitious. I like the idea. This app barely has users in Texas.

so, I like the idea of this app. I think it has potential but I think needing to subscribe just to send a few likes makes it unlikeable. I think the devs should give you a certain amount of free likes per day and to keep users coming back, give a log in reward of X amount of free likes after a long in streak of however many days. I'd be willing to try again with after updates

DEFINITELY needs work, I'm giving this app 2 stars for the concept, but the execution? I shouldn't be forced to buy premium of any app just to use basic features, already irritating, and then the filtering is wack, we need more options, NOT just gender options, and speaking of, why if I click one option it instantly goes "Oh you're interested in seeing EVERYONE of all gender identities?" When I just wanted to simply select "Cis Men"

Hey, appreciate the feedback. Our goal is to be a sustainable community for gamers, without selling their data or attention. That requires charging a small amount monthly to cover our costs. Thanks for the feedback about the filters, I'll check and see if they're buggy. Can you tell me more about what other filters you'd like to see?
Doesn't work at all, can't interact with any profiles regardless of whether you are subscribed or not. the entire app is non functional. Attempting to like or dislike a profile will open the subscription payment screen even if you are already subscribed preventing you from seeing any profiles outside of the very first one it loads in.

Hey Bronson - we briefly had a bug where promotional codes would act like you don't have a subscription (unless you press restore purchases) Maybe this was happening to you? Please let me know if you have issues with your subscription! We're a small team not taking any VC money - we've got to charge a small monthly amount to stay afloat.
