Notarium is a sheet music reader and music notation app for musicians. Keep your PDF sheet music, scanned pages and MusicXML scores in one library, read them full screen, build setlists for concerts and services, practice with a metronome and rehearsal mode, and write music in the notation editor. Reading, marking up and writing music work offline.
📚 Sheet music library
• Import PDF, images, MusicXML (plain or compressed), ChordPro and text — or scan printed pages with your camera
• Search titles, composers, artists, genres and tags
• Group by composer, genre, collection or recently opened; filter by genre, key and difficulty
🎼 PDF sheet music reader
• Full-screen reading: single page, two pages side by side, vertical scroll or half-page turn
• Crop margins so the music is larger on screen
• Bookmarks and jump points for repeats and codas
• Night mode with inverted colors for dark stages
• Your last page in every song is remembered
✏️ Annotations
• Pen, highlighter and text notes right on the page
• Two layers, eraser and undo
• The original file stays untouched — markings are stored separately
🎶 Setlists
• Build the program by drag and drop
• Performance mode: continuous page turning through the whole setlist
🥁 Metronome and rehearsal mode
• Metronome from 30 to 300 BPM with an accented downbeat and a visual beat
• Rehearsal mode: the click and the page turns follow one tempo — set how many bars a page holds, get a count-in, repeat a page until it sits
• Audio player: attach recordings to songs, slow them down without changing pitch, loop A–B
▶️ Hear the score
• Play a MusicXML score straight from the library or the reader, with a tempo slider — no need to open the editor
🎸 Chord sheets and songbook
• ChordPro and plain-text songs with chords above the right syllable
• Transpose a whole song by semitones with correct spelling
• Adjustable text size; choruses and tab blocks laid out properly
🎹 Music notation editor
• Write music from scratch: notes, rests, accidentals, ties, dynamics, lyrics
• Select several notes and edit or transpose them in one step
• Two voices and several parts; key, time signature and clef; transposition by any interval
• Playback with piano sound and a moving cursor
• Import MusicXML; export MusicXML, MIDI, PDF and PNG
📷 Sheet music scanner
• Scan printed music straight into your library
• Automatic edge detection and perspective correction, up to 30 pages in one go
• Scanned pages are kept in the library as images
⚙️ Yours to keep
• Light, dark or system theme, Material You colors, interface in 44 languages
• Back up the whole library — scores, markings, setlists — into one file and restore it on another device
🔒 On your device
• Scores, markings and recordings are kept in the app’s own storage on your device
• The scanner and buying Pro go through Google Play
💳 Free, with an optional Pro
• Everything described above is free, including export to MusicXML, MIDI, PDF and PNG
• Notarium Pro adds what teachers and arrangers need on paper: PDF with a title page and printing margins, high-resolution PNG, a whole setlist as one file, plus stamps for fingering, breathing and pedal, shapes, your own palettes, more than two annotation layers and exporting a page with your marks on it
• Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time purchase, paid through Google Play
