WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM
Crime and incident reports are aggregated from publicly available government and law-enforcement open-data sources (city and county open-data portals). Live 911 calls come from public dispatch feeds where a jurisdiction publishes them. Live incident data is available in 90+ US counties; crime statistics cover every county. Severe-weather alerts come from the U.S. National Weather Service (NOAA/NWS). Coverage and reporting speed vary by area: some publish in near real time, others daily, and some publish no data at all.
