I do like this app in comparison to Skylight, for instance. The only thing I wish it would have available is a widget for android. Being able to see the calendar as a widget would make this a 5 star review from me!

So far, so good! I've been using the app for a few months now and I love it. It helps keep me and my family of 5 organized. I love that my kids that have phones/the Jam app can get notifications for their own stuff like homework, upcoming tests/projects, and extracurriculars. I also love how easy it is to input new activities and events. It's the best calendar app I've ever used and I've tried all the "popular" ones before!
Such a disappointment! You have to pay just to look at the Jam calendar, glad I only paid for a month Its nothing like it say in the App store. I didn't like it at all so I stopped payment and uninstalled it and out $12 I don't recommend this Jam calendar at all. Don't waste your time.

Sorry for the frustration, Jill — not how we want anyone to feel. To clarify: Jam is a subscription (one plan for the whole family) with a 30-day free trial, and no free tier because we don't sell data or run ads. Fair point that the pricing should be clearer upfront — we're working on that. For any questions, reach out help@jamfamilycalendar.com.
I'm in the free trial and it seems to be great but the only issue is no widget for androids. This is honestly enough that I might have to look for other apps unless it's coming soon. otherwise it seems great so far. the AI tool helps a ton too!

Thanks for trying Jam, Stephanie — so glad the AI tool is helping! You're not alone in wanting an Android widget; it's on our radar as something we'd love to add. Thanks for the feedback — it helps us prioritize. Anything else during your trial, reach us at help@jamfamilycalendar.com!
seems really cute and helpful but it is ridiculously expensive and it doesnt even tell you it's a paid app until you've already set everything up... :| edit: yeah my problem isn't that it's a paid app, it's the fact that you hide that and don't mention it anywhere in the app description that there isn't a free tier, and only reveal that it's subscription only after you set up the entire app and then get hit with a paywall.

Thanks for giving Jam a try, and sharing your feedback. For transparency: our plans are $120/year or $15.99/month (with limited-time promos), one plan for the whole family, and a 30-day free trial to test first. We don't have a free tier because we don't sell data or run ads — the subscription is what keeps family data private.
I removed my old review and posting an update as the app has significantly improved. the integration is AI has been a game changer. I'm giving it 4 stars for now as theres still a gap in it picking up the correct attendees. but overall it's very good.

Thanks so much for updating your review, Aaron — that means a lot! We're thrilled the AI has been a game changer for you. You're right that picking up the correct attendees isn't perfect yet, and improving that accuracy is something we're actively working on. Really appreciate you sticking with us — more good stuff on the way!
great way to add multiple calendars to one spot that also includes chores and lists for the family to see. I love being able to use outside calendars and import them - have them sync right away. very easy to use.

Thanks for the feedback, and sorry Jam wasn't the fit. To be transparent: it's $120/year or $15.99/month (with limited-time promos), one plan covers the whole family, and there's a 30-day free trial with full access. We don't have a free tier because we don't sell data or run ads — the subscription is what keeps family data private.
Not a single mention of pricing on their website. Very sketchy. Please tell me a product that you've tried to purchase where the price was hidden. Jam must be the first company in the world to dishonestly hide their pricing.

Thanks for the honest feedback — pricing should be easy to find, and that's fair. To be fully transparent: Jam is $120/year or $15.99/mo (with limited-time promotions), one plan covers your whole family and caregivers, with a 30-day free trial. We do show pricing before you start a trial to make sure that we are transparent about our subscription.
