USE OF ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE
App blocking in Focus Modes optionally uses the AccessibilityService API. The service is only used when the user voluntarily chooses to enable app blocking in the Android Accessibility Settings.
When active, the service only identifies the foreground application. If the user opens an application they have chosen to block during Focus Mode, the Focus Launcher returns to the home screen and displays its lock screen.
The AccessibilityService API is used exclusively for this blocking functionality. The Focus Launcher does not use the service to read text, passwords, messages, keystrokes, or content displayed in other applications.
The foreground application identifier is processed locally only to verify the rules defined by the user. This information is not sent to servers, shared with third parties, or used for advertising, analytics, or profiling.
Before opening the Accessibility Settings, the app provides a clear disclosure explaining why the service is necessary, how it works, and what data it does not access. Activation always requires affirmative action from the user, and the service can be deactivated at any time in Android Settings.
All other launcher features remain available without activating the Accessibility Service.
Focus Launcher was designed to be fast, straightforward, and easy to adapt. Each user can choose the active screens, change their order, and adjust the options of each section to create a more personal and lighter experience.
If you're looking for a simple, functional, and productivity-focused launcher, Focus Launcher offers a clean alternative to the traditional Android experience.
