The apps has really fallen off with ads everywhere and not able to block sources that dont really work (BBC news). Its ok though I vibe coded a replacement in 5 minutes.

Option
Too many ads, it would be nice for those that pay for the monthly Google Play subscription, to have an ad free reading experience, every time I go to read an article I get bombarded with pop up ads and other ads that still my screen to where eventually it'll take me to a different article or I end up having to back out of the story completely. There are other news apps, I think for Google Play subscribers at the least there should be an ad free version.
