Sky Map turns your phone into a window on the night sky.
Sky Map helps you identify stars, planets, nebulae, and constellations in real-time. Originally developed as Google Sky Map, it is now open source. Find us online: ⭐ Official Website: stardroid.app ⭐ Open Source: Contribute on GitHub ⭐ Join the Community: • Facebook @stardroidapp • X @skymapdevs App permissions: Sky Map has no required permissions. Each permission below is optional — you may refuse any of them and still use the app. Nothing is requested at startup; each is asked for only when you first use the feature that needs it, and each can be withdrawn separately in your device settings. ⭐ Location (optional) — used to draw the sky for where you are. Refuse it and you can enter a place name or coordinates by hand instead. Your location never leaves your device. ⭐ Camera (optional) — used only by through-camera mode, which overlays the sky on the live camera view. Refuse it and every other mode works as normal. The image is never recorded or transmitted. ⭐ Notifications (optional) — used only to tell you about meteor-shower peaks and tonight's sky, if you ask for them. They stay off until you turn them on.
