Great! Up to date maps, offline navigation option and FREE! Great Android Auto integration. Edit: Dropping to 2 stars and abondoning use of the app. Maps become more outdated in South Africa. I've submitted a change to a place more than 3 months ago. Was notified that it was accepted but still not updated.

Good: Shows gas stations and different icons for different kind of roads. Apart from that, the map is really plain with no structure features even though I have the landmarks and 3d buildings options on. Also, the traffic indicator is not that good; it showed the road clear while I was in the middle of a traffic jam, it has no audio alerts, and shows places way off their actual locations. The map always points the wrong direction.

I can see that this is a decent app (would happily rate it higher) but unfortunately it's not working for me :(. It doesn't want to download the offline maps - keeps saying "oops something went wrong"

Thanks for the feedback, Jeremy! Please contact us at appsupport@here.com with more details and a screenshot of what you see in the app.
Looking for a GPS app that doesn't block my phone screen / the app when activated on Android Auto. unfortunately this is not one of them. Might as well use Google apps. I should be able to search for atsop while driving without having to struggle with my car screen or literally UNPLUG my navigation while driving. How is that safer??
Also unfortunately bend over to the Trump regime concerning lake Ontario and the gulf.
I hate having to rely on American Google Maps again. At first, it seemed like this app only gives directions for transit options that are not delayed, but today, it even did it for routes that weren't, which would have made me late to the office. I'm going to check time settings one more time, but I'm very disappointed.
I could not find a way to adjust speech volume anywhere with my galaxy s24. Tried all settings in and out of the app. Without volume adjustment the app is totally useless.
Lake of America? Gulf of America? Way to cave to stupidity.

“9/2026 Update: I still wish there was a "free drive" mode that removes the menu when not navigating and allows different views other than North-oriented.”
“I really love this app and I've been using it a long time.”
“still think it's pretty good, but ...”
“It would be nice to see ability to increase detail shown per zoom, colors, road outlines.”
