This app isn't in any of our charts yet.
See your time, not just your taps. The limit screen now shows how much of your daily budget you've used — "Time used: 35m of 1h" — right next to your open attempts. We also fixed the Continue button. When your limit is spent it now says "Limit reached" and closes the app, instead of quietly doing nothing. And a bug that could leave a limit screen stuck with an unresponsive button is gone for good.
App blocker for focus: block apps & websites, set limits, focus mode
Take back your time. Impulse is the app blocker and screen time control that helps you block distracting apps and websites, set usage limits, and build real focus — on your terms. You decide what to block, when, and how strict to be. Impulse does the rest. ⏰ BLOCK APPS ON A SCHEDULE Create blocking periods for your most distracting apps and websites — social media off during work hours, no doomscrolling after 10 PM. Your schedule, your rules. Blocks reactivate automatically every day. ⏳ DAILY USAGE LIMITS Set a time limit or a maximum number of opens per day for any app. When you hit the limit, Impulse blocks the app until tomorrow. Perfect for cutting down phone addiction one day at a time. 🧘 FOCUS SESSIONS Need deep work? Start a focus session and block everything that pulls your attention. Choose the duration, hit start, and stay distraction-free until it ends. 💪 CHOOSE YOUR STRICTNESS Willpower isn't always enough — that's why Impulse has difficulty levels: • Easy: turn a block off anytime • Medium: wait out a 60-second countdown • Hard: an accountability partner must approve with a code • Physical: unlock only by scanning your NFC tag — the ultimate commitment 🏷️ NFC TAG LOCK Link any NFC tag and turn self-control into a physical habit. Leave the tag in another room and your blocks stay locked until you get up and scan it. 👥 GROUPS & CHALLENGES Quitting distractions is easier together. Create a private group with friends or join a public challenge: share blocking rules, keep streaks, and climb the leaderboard of days without slipping. Everyone joins voluntarily and controls their own device — Impulse never shares which apps you use. 📊 SCREEN TIME INSIGHTS See where your time actually goes with clear daily and weekly usage stats, and watch your screen time drop as your streaks grow. 🛡️ UNINSTALL PROTECTION Optional strict mode makes it harder to bypass your own rules by deleting the app in a weak moment. You set it up; you stay in charge. WHY IMPULSE? ✔ Blocks apps AND websites ✔ Works offline — your app usage data stays on your device ✔ No subscriptions required to start blocking ✔ Available in English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese and Italian Impulse is built for digital detox, deep work, studying, and anyone tired of losing hours to endless scrolling. Whether you want a gentle nudge or an unbreakable wall, it's the self-control app that adapts to you. Stop fighting distraction with willpower alone. Download Impulse and start focusing today. Use of the Accessibility API (AccessibilityService) Impulse offers an optional feature called "Enhanced Protection" that uses Android's accessibility API (AccessibilityService). If you choose to enable it, Impulse uses it only to: • Instantly detect which app or website is in the foreground, so your blocks and usage limits apply without delay. • Read the address bar of supported browsers to block the websites you yourself added to your rules. • Help you stick to your commitments by preventing Impulse from being uninstalled while one of your blocks is active (a protection you enable yourself and can turn off at any time). Impulse does not use this service to collect, store, or share personal or sensitive data: everything is processed locally on your device. Enhanced Protection is fully optional, requires your explicit consent, and can be disabled at any time in Settings > Accessibility.
