First release: five history moments on a world map every day, with archive, practice rounds, stats and a home-screen widget.
Five moments from history, one world map. Tap where it happened. Works offline.
Every day, Pinpast gives you five moments from history that happened on today's date — a revolution, an Olympic opening, a famous birth, a discovery. Your job: tap where in the world it happened. The closer your pin, the higher your score. Up to 1,000 points per place, 5,000 per day. After each pin, read the short story behind it — the kind you'll want to tell someone at dinner. HOW IT WORKS • 5 new places every day, from easy to hard • Tap the world map — pinch to zoom, double-tap to reset • See how far off you were in km or miles • Read a 2–3 sentence story for every place • Share your score as a spoiler-free emoji grid KEEP A STREAK • Daily streak and best streak • Stats: days played, average score, typical miss, bullseyes • Home-screen widget shows today's puzzle and your streak • Optional morning and evening reminders (off is fine) MISSED A DAY? • Archive: replay any of the last 60 days • Practice rounds: five random places from the whole year, as many times as you like MADE TO STAY OUT OF YOUR WAY • Works offline — every puzzle is inside the app • No account, no login, no sign-up • Your scores stay on your phone • No sound by default, vibration you can turn off • Light and dark themes Pinpast is a quick daily geography quiz and history quiz in one: learn world geography, world capitals and famous places through "this day in history" stories. Great for a morning routine, a family game, homeschool, or anyone who loves maps. Five places. One map. A new set every day.
