I presume it's reasonably faithful to the original books, but this one feels way less fair than the first. And there should be an option to just move on to the next game when you get to the North Gate without being guilt tripped.
despite being annoying to find all the spell lines, this is an amazing game with such great replayability!!
Solved my gripes with the first game regarding the short playtime and introduced a super fun dice game in swindlestones which I got addicted to. I love gambling!!

I gave a horse depression and walked on my knees amongst dwarves. What a game.
I was enjoying this game and would rate higher except for the annoying glitch that you are only allowed one rewind. This often means you get stuck in a doomed pattern since one rewind is not enough to get you out of most fatal situations. This means I have had to restart 6 times now and it is very annoying! More rewinds would greatly improve
