WordPress forced us to begin to use this app some time ago, and unfortunately users have had no choice but to go along. I have personally found this app to be underwhelming. Its functionality leaves much to be desired. Honestly, it is a much inferior experience to the original WordPress app, which itself was also not great, but it was all we had for mobile on-the-go blogging and posting. It's unfortunate that customer satisfaction does not seem to be a particularly high priority.
