Snap a paper date. Save it to your calendar.
RectoDate reads a school flyer, oil-change sticker, appointment card, or church bulletin on your phone. It finds the dates and times, you check them, then your calendar Save screen opens. No account. The photo is not uploaded and not kept.
How it works
1. Point the camera at the paper, pick a photo, or share an image from Photos.
2. The app reads the text on the device. It works with no signal for scan, review, and calendar handoff.
3. Review every event. Fix a wrong date by tapping the word on the photo.
4. Tap Add. Your phone calendar opens with the title, date, time, and place filled in. You tap Save.
What it reads
• School flyers and monthly event lists (several dates on one page)
• Picture day, early dismissal, no-school days, parades
• Oil-change stickers and service due dates
• Appointment cards (dental and similar)
• Church bulletins and mass times
• Concert or club flyers with door times
What it does not do
It does not type the event in for you with no review. It does not store the picture. It does not use a cloud AI. It does not show ads. Recurring “every 6 months” lines are not auto-saved as repeats; set repeat in Calendar if needed.
Free and paid
10 papers free. One page counts as one scan even if it holds several events. After that, a one-time unlock removes the cap. Already unlocked stays unlocked offline.
Privacy
Camera is used only to read the page in front of you. No login. History is title and date text on the phone, last 20, no images.
