Haze & PSI brings Singapore's PSI and Malaysia's Air Pollutant Index (IPU/API) together in one simple app. Check the haze where you are, see how air quality has moved over the past day, week or month, and get an optional alert when it turns unhealthy, and again when it recovers.
SINGAPORE
• Official 24-hour PSI and 1-hour PM2.5 from NEA, by region (North, South, East, West, Central)
• Regional map with colour-coded badges
• Switch between PSI and PM2.5
MALAYSIA
• Hourly IPU/API readings from DOE Malaysia's APIMS monitoring stations
• Browse by state and federal territory, then tap a state to see each station, including KL, Selangor, Johor and Sarawak
• Mark favourite states so they stay at the top of the list
• Malaysia readings are IPU/API only. PM2.5 and the map are not available for Malaysia.
TRENDS
• 24-hour, 7-day and 30-day charts
• Singapore: all regions or one region
• Malaysia: pick a state, then a station
• See which reading is highest and lowest right now
UNHEALTHY-AIR ALERTS (OPTIONAL)
• Choose Singapore, all of Malaysia, or only the Malaysian states you care about
• For a Malaysian state, alerts use the highest station reading in that state
• An alert each hour while the reading is Unhealthy (101 and above), and one notice when it returns to healthy
• Notifications need your permission and can be turned off at any time in Notification settings
CROSSING THE CAUSEWAY?
Switch between Singapore and Malaysia from the location chip at the top of the screen. Useful for Johor–Singapore commuters and anyone travelling between the two.
EASY TO READ
Readings use familiar bands: Good (0–50), Moderate (51–100), Unhealthy (101–200), Very Unhealthy (201–300) and Hazardous (above 300), with short guidance for each band.
DATA SOURCES
• Singapore: National Environment Agency (NEA), via data.gov.sg
• Malaysia: Department of Environment (DOE) Malaysia, Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS)
Readings are refreshed hourly. Times are shown in Singapore/Malaysia time (UTC+8).
The app interface is in English.
