Checkmate puzzles on tiny 3D boards. 10,000 levels from mate in 1 to mate in 8.
Mate in 3 is a chess puzzle game on tiny boards. White to move: find the checkmate in the given number of moves. One right move at a time — no long theory, just a sharp chess idea on a small board. TINY BOARDS, BIG IDEAS Every puzzle sits on a mini board: 3×3 squares, crosses, L-shapes and other unusual layouts. Fewer squares, but every piece matters — rooks cut off the king, knights jump over defenders, bishops strike along a long diagonal, pawns promote to deliver mate. 10,000 LEVELS FOR YOUR LEVEL At the first launch pick your chess level — you can change it any time in Settings: • Beginner — short checkmate puzzles, mostly mate in 1 to 3. • Intermediate — mate in 2 to 5 with real defenders. • Expert — up to mate in 7, plus a long mate in 8 from time to time. Each level has its own puzzles, and they get harder as you go. Black always defends with the best reply. LEARN AS YOU PLAY • Two tutorial levels show how to move and checkmate. • A wrong move? The game shows Black's defence with an arrow and explains why there is no mate in time. • Stuck? A hint in two steps: first it highlights the piece to move, then an arrow shows the move. • Undo a move or restart the puzzle at any time. PUZZLE OF THE DAY A new mate-in-3 checkmate puzzle every day — one for all players. Solve it daily to keep your streak. EARN COINS Win coins for every solved level and spend them on hints.
