Voice Scribe 2.0 is here. Record private voice notes, dictate with the floating button while using other apps, and choose an offline transcription model that fits your device. This update also improves stability and everyday usability.
Private speech to text that works offline. Voice notes and typing in any app.
Voice Scribe is private, offline voice to text for Android. Speak and get editable text right on your phone — no internet, no account, and no cloud transcription. TYPE WITH YOUR VOICE IN ANY APP • Quick Settings tile: record from anywhere, then paste the text into chats, email, or notes • Floating microphone bubble that works over other apps • Optional automatic text insertion into the field you are typing in VOICE NOTES THAT BECOME TEXT • Record ideas, reminders, and drafts and get an editable transcript • Clean up filler words with on-device rules • Search, pin, copy, share, or save transcripts to a file WORKS OFFLINE A speech recognition model is built in, so your first transcript needs no download and no connection. For higher accuracy and 99 languages with automatic detection, download the Base, Medium, or Turbo model once. Turbo needs a phone with 6 GB of RAM. Downloads wait for Wi-Fi unless you allow mobile data for that download. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Audio is transcribed on your phone and is never uploaded. Temporary recordings are deleted after transcription. Saved transcripts stay in your local library until you delete them. No account is required. Voice Scribe is made for dictation, voice typing, quick notes, messages, and any moment when typing is slow or inconvenient. ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE FOR TEXT INSERTION Text insertion is optional. If you enable it after a separate consent step, Voice Scribe uses the Android AccessibilityService API to insert your completed, locally processed dictation into the active text field in another app. The service reads only the text and cursor position or selection in that active editable field, never password fields, and uses this information solely to replace the selection with your transcript. Voice Scribe does not store, send, or share that field content. The app works without the service, and you can turn it off at any time in Android Settings.
