Nice and simple timer, though it has a bug that sometimes causes it to severely drain the battery. Unfortunately this gets the boot.

Sorry for the bad experience. Hopefully you can give the new update a chance solving most issues with the earlier versions.
Awesome for my kids.

the vibration at the endo of time when phone is in silent mode is WAY too long and horrible.

For being able to handle different sounds and notifications the premium version is recommended.
Looking for a more configurable timer

App doesn't give you the option of choosing exact amount of time to elapse, even in premium. You can only choose from their set intervals. Therefore u can't count down exactly to an event. It should offer BOTH methods: presets and precise.
I was sad this didn't work right because I work with kids and it's a great visual. I'm running Kit Kat 4.4.4 but will try again if there's an update.
Running Android 4.4.4 no start or stop.

You start the time by just touching the colored balls. Settings and stop is managed by the small grey button down in the middle.
The directions are written very vague.

I'm sorry you feel this way. If you provide me with more specific information (in an email) about what kind of instructions you are missing I will happily add them to the current description.
I love the color timer specially because one of grandkids has to use one at school. The one that he's teacher uses with him is a little expensive. But it would be nice to have some sore of sound to it
