No way to change alarm settings for default preset. If you don't like "simple bell" sound, you'll be changing it manually for every timer .

You can save default preset from the menu in this screen
I have loved this and used it for years, but now that it's been taken over by ads, I'm searching for an alternative! Lame that your only response is a form of RANSOMWARE! The ads get worse and worse!

The app displays standard ads from Google AdMob from the beginning. Nothing changed in last decade.

I think this timer is great. I use it every time I fire up the grill for steaks or porkchops. I really like the ease of setting it. l even use it for other events that require timing. Thanks
Alarm is hit and miss at going off. Will continue counting time, after alloted time has finished. Not what you want from a kitchen timer 'Try to check your battery settings' - is a vague and unhelpful response

Try to check your battery optimization settings. Operation system of your phone just kill the app in background. This is the main reason of incorrect behavior. https://dontkillmyapp.com/
