Works properly nine times out of ten, but I have to re-download content every time I use it, UI components shift and block each other, and there are several obvious features left out (e.g. a search bar). UX is horrible in nearly every meaningful way.
constantly crashes, the audio is very robotic and unengaging. I'd rather scan the book and have something else read it to me. it's grueling to listen to.
if the developers decided to use the app for 5 minutes they would notice how difficult it is to navigate and how finicky accessing a book is.
Unfortunately, I have to use this for school. When I highlight it won't save as I move on. Portions that I am 100% sure I have highlighted or underlined, do not show up when I open the textbook again on both the device I used to highlight (phone) and my other device (laptop), and vice versa. Entire pages were missing. It's making studying longer and meaningless to refer back to if it just disappears. Today, both books are entirely wiped of any work I had done.
The app keeps crashing.
It is not very user friendly, and is hard to keep from having to download it multiple times as it glitches at inopportune times.
the auto read feature doesn't work most of the time. It doesn't want to follow along as it narrates. I had to spend money at my college for a book and this is the only means to read it? I would expect to have at least somewhat of a cohesive experience. terrible
i hate these people, just make an app that works for fk sake
This app works great for students who have a busy lifestyle and use their phone or tablet to do the majority of their schoolwork. I gave 2 stars because the app glitches and all your notes, highlights, and placemarks will dissappear from the Ebook. The Support team is also unable to help as they said do not have accessibility to the data we make on the app. The app definitely deserves 5 stars if they can resolve the glitch and bring back students lost data.
when using it for practice within practice atlases, none of the reset buttons work. So you can only take practice quizzes once. also the read outloud audio feature for books often skips text and lines and jumps around

“However, the app frequently crashes and refuses to open the sections you need until you uninstall and then reinstall it which is incredibly frustrating.”
“This requires a tap or something on the bottom to pull-up the next part to read, which isn't a page as those are marked - I have no idea why it's separate.”
“The only reason I downloaded this was in the hopes of listening to my chapters while I'm on the go and offline.”
“I purchased a book that costs over $100 and the app says it cannot find any book or assignments on my account (which works fine online), there's a small note…”
“I expected the same functionality as the website, especially since the book and Connect code were so expensive.”
“I have a difficult time going back to the previous section, and it's just not very user friendly.”

“I actually love this app.”
A drop after an update usually means the update broke something.
