Wordtide is a calm word search and word find game. A grid of letters hides a list of words: drag across the letters to find each one, and it locks under a coloured band. Tap a found word to see its meaning, on English and Hindi grids. Large print, a Daily Grid, 100 themes on English grids and a Hindi word search, all offline. Every word search grid is built by a generator, not typed in by hand. It checks each board before you see it: every word on the list really is in there, exactly once, and the filler letters come from the letter frequencies of the language you play in. A grid never asks you to find something that is not there. How to Play 1. Press a letter and drag to the end of the word. Words run in a straight line: across, down or diagonally, and from the eighth chapter onwards backwards as well. 2. A word you find locks under a coloured band and leaves the list below the grid. 3. One extra word is hidden in every grid and is not on the list. Finding that secret word pays coins. 4. Nothing is ever lost. A wrong drag simply fades, and the clock only records your time. Your phone's language picks one of the nine automatically. The interface itself is in 13 languages; Arabic, Hindi, Japanese and Korean open on English grids in this version, and you can choose any of the nine in Settings. Hindi players also get a Hindi word search: everyday words in Devanagari, one akshara per square. Fair Hints The first hint on every grid costs nothing. It lights up the first letter of a word you have not found yet, for three seconds, so it gives you a place to start rather than the answer. Later hints cost coins, and the game always asks first. Your Own Pace There is a clock, but the only things that depend on it are your own record and the third star. Take an hour over a 12x12 if you like. There is no way to lose a grid.
