The Hebrew date and the celebrations of the righteous for each day — with the source for every detail, even without the Internet
An app that reminds you every day of the Hebrew date and the feasts of the righteous for that day. The list was taken from the "Feast of the Righteous" wall board of the Shiloh Tabernacle — 1,484 feasts throughout the year. What's in the app • The Hebrew date and feasts for the day, with automatic transition at sunset • Daily reminder at the time of your choice • Full monthly calendar, and search by name • Widget for the home screen Entries on the righteous Clicking on a name opens a short entry, with the date of death and a link to the full source. The text is taken from only three Torah sources: the collection, Wikipedia, and Chabadpedia. Each entry was matched to the name, and then the original date of death was compared to the day on which the printed calendar places it. A date that does not match invalidates the match. Each entry explicitly indicates how well-founded it is: verified by date, or identified by name only. Advanced mode A connection to the complete Jewish day: • Tachanun and Hallel — what is said today and what is not • Tosafot of the prayer — the wind returns and brings down the dew, and gives dew and rain, will rise and come, on the miracles and ours • Haftarah of Shabbat — according to Ashkenazi or Sephardic custom, and with the order of precedence when the two Haftarahs meet • The sacrifice of the day in the Temple, with the verses • Segulat and customs of the day and month • Parshat Shavuot, Pirkei Avot, D' Yomi, Kiddush Levena, and the counting of the Omer • 13 times of the day, each with the method by which it is calculated Song of the Day and "To David the Great Uri" open to the full, dotted version, for reading in place. Each line with its source Each halachic line in the app bears the sign from which it comes. What cannot be established is not shown. Therefore, for example, on Yom Kippur, the app says that the customs in the song of the day are divided, instead of naming a psalm that has not been proven. The "Sources and Reliability" screen in the settings shows where each part comes from and how strong it is. Privacy The app works completely without the Internet. There is no data collection, no account, no advertisements, and no purchases. The only permissions are for notifications and restarting after the device is rebooted. Note The halachic information is provided for awakening, not for teaching. For actual questions, please contact a rabbi.
