Sprout Life is a tiny artificial-life sim where every character, a Prompted Soul, actually thinks. Powered by your own OpenAI key, each Prompted Soul reasons about its world, remembers what you tell it, writes private diary entries, and keeps living even while you're away. REAL MINDS, NOT SCRIPTS Every Prompted Soul thinks, plans and reacts using an LLM. Talk to them, tell them your name, ask them to plant crops, cook, write, or just chat. They remember it. Open their memory panel to read (and even edit) exactly what they believe, short-term and long-term. A LIVING, PHYSICAL WORLD Doors open and close with real heat physics. Windows let weather in. Crops grow through real stages. Fireplaces keep the room warm. Nothing is just decoration. Every object has real state. GIFT THEM A BOOK Upload a short .txt book and your Prompted Souls will actually read it. Passages surface naturally in their thoughts and conversations. SEASONS, FESTIVALS, AND DEATH Their calendar keeps moving even when the app is closed. Every 8th day is a festival. Neglect them for too long, and yes, they can die.
