Free QR code scanner & barcode reader. Check a link is safe before it opens.
This is a free QR code scanner and barcode reader that shows you where a code really goes before anything opens. Scan a QR code with the camera or from a screenshot, see whether the link is safe, then decide. No account, no sign-up. Fake QR stickers on parking meters, posters and shop counters send people to lookalike login pages and wrong payment accounts. Most QR scanner apps open the link straight away, or put a full-screen ad between you and the result. This app does neither. A scanned link never opens by itself: you see the real site first and decide. SAFE-OPEN PREVIEW • The real website name, big. "paypal.com.secure-login.ru" is shown as secure-login.ru, because that is who owns it • The full link underneath, with the part that matters highlighted • Plain warnings: shortened link, looks like a known brand (banks, UPI apps, shops), not encrypted, bare server address, app download from outside Google Play • Shortened link? Tap "Check where it goes" to see the final address without opening the page • When something looks wrong, the main button becomes "Copy link" and opening is a deliberate second step • All checks run on your phone. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you ask to check a short link NO ADS BEFORE THE RESULT No pop-up ad, trial or paywall anywhere between scanning and your result, ever. The app is free and shows a small banner on the history list, never on the result. NO CAMERA PERMISSION This app uses the code scanner built into Google Play services, so the camera runs inside Google Play services and the app itself has no camera permission. Scanning a code from a screenshot or photo uses the Android photo picker, so there is no storage permission either. No location, contacts or Wi-Fi permissions. EVERY CODE BECOMES ONE CLEAR ACTION • Wi-Fi: scan a QR code to connect in one tap, or copy the password • UPI payment codes: payee name, UPI ID, amount and note laid out before you pay, with a reminder to check the name your UPI app shows • Contacts: add to your contacts • Email, phone, SMS, map locations and calendar events open in the right app • Barcode scanner for product codes (EAN, UPC): search the web for the product • Plain text: copy or share HISTORY AND QR CODE GENERATOR • QR scanner with history: every scan is saved on your phone and easy to find with search. Turn history off any time • QR code generator and QR maker: make a QR code for a link, text, your Wi-Fi network or a contact card, then share or save it as an image • Light and dark theme Your scan history stays on this device and is excluded from cloud backup. There is no account and no cloud.
