So far I am enjoying and discovering the wealth of features it puts, amazingly, on the table! Very happy so bought it!
what good are recordings if i can't get them off of my phone somehow? (recordings are hiding in an app created file sandbox of some sort)

Purchased this ~a year ago for recording concerts. I needed a recorder that let me set the gain to avoid clipping. I had previously been using Hi-Q, but a recent Android update broke it and now all the audio files it produces are corrupted. Apart from the somewhat cumbersome UI and the slight lag during recordings, this app flawlessly records for hours on end without me having to worry about data corruption or clipping. This is the best audio recorder for Android, hands down.

Audio recorder works fine, even above expectations. Unfortunately, there are problems with access to recorded files - you could not copy them or transfer. Instructions given on other comments does not work (could be that are too complicated). That problems are the only reason why I have requested for refund.

You just need to create source entry via Android SAF permission and point it to any external user folder, such as /Recordings/ It is described with related screenshots: https://neutroncode.com/faq/58-empty-mlib On installation Neutron will ask for access permission for /Recordings by default, maybe you denied it?
Powerful, but unintuitive UI and, unreliability keeps the app from potential greatness. Features and customization level: AMAZING. However, it's difficult to make sense of the interface. For example, many reviews complain about inability to export recordings. Adding a directory under the "sources" setting changes the target write dir. Also, preamp/EQ settings revert to a default after pressing REC. And, just now 90 minutes of recordings—yes, clock was rolling—have just simply disappeared.

You can add external user folder to Sources -> File System -> +, then create new source based on this entry and make it Active in Sources. With this you will get recordings saved in your user folder, for example/Recordings. DSP/EQ affect Playback and Recording sessions, so if you need EQ with Recording session then long press Record and activate EQ

How to save/copy my recordings from "/data/user/0/com.neutroncode.rc/files" to a folder in my "Internal Storage"? Can't copy or share the files since no other app have access to them on my phone. Android 14/OnePlus No access from a linux computer via USB either.

Neutron Recorder is focusing mainly on a high-quality recording function, e.g. is trying to capture sound with max possible quality and with help of additional DSP, while editing is another specialization. Mobile app can never replace a well established audio editors with all kinds of DSP post-processing on PC platform, like Audacity and etc.
