Sunrise, sunset, golden and blue hour for any place and date, all offline.
Golden Hour Planner tells you when the light will be good - sunrise, sunset, golden hour and blue hour for today or any date you pick - and it does all of the maths on your phone. No account, no server, and no internet needed. 🌅 Seven times a day, offline Blue hour, golden hour, sunrise, solar noon, sunset, and the evening golden and blue hours, each with a start and end time. Step through the days with one tap or jump to any date on a calendar. The times come from the NOAA solar approximation computed on your device and are accurate to within a few minutes. 📍 Location, your way Location is optional and you choose how to give it: read your phone's approximate location once (asked for only when you tap the button), pick one of more than 120 cities built into the app, or type a latitude and longitude. Whatever you choose stays on the phone - the app never sends coordinates anywhere, and it never asks for precise location. 🧭 Sun compass on the camera Open the camera and a marker shows where the sun is right now - how far left or right, how high above the horizon - so you can plan a shot before the light arrives. The camera is used only on that screen and nothing is recorded. 🔔 Reminders before the light Turn on a reminder for sunrise, sunset or either golden hour and choose how many minutes ahead you want the heads-up. Reminders are local notifications that survive a reboot, and they only exist if you switch them on. 👋 Meet Sol Sol, the little lens with a sun, shows you around on the first start and changes colour as golden hour runs out - yellow when it has just begun, blue when it is nearly over. Friendly, never in the way. 🔒 Private and offline Every time is computed on your phone. There is no account, no server and no internet requirement. The only permissions the app asks for are the camera (for the compass overlay, on that screen only) and approximate location (only if you choose "use my location"), plus notifications if you turn a reminder on. ✨ Free, with one optional upgrade Everything above is free, supported by a small banner and an occasional full-screen ad. A one-time purchase removes ads forever; it is not a subscription. A note on honesty: the times are an approximation, good to within a few minutes, and they assume a flat horizon - mountains, buildings and weather are not taken into account. The compass uses magnetic north and is only as good as your phone's sensor.
