every time I use it it freezes and I cant use it. not sure why

Hi, does it freeze before or after you open a file? How big is the file? What file format/extension is it? Does it freeze on new (empty) documents? Can you send us the file (or a similar test file) so we can reproduce the bug and fix it? Any more info will help us fix your issue
This helped me code a variety of programming languages. this is perfect. I won't use another code editor that's sluggish, because this is perfection for me. 😄

No printed button or wasn't installed.
Why is there no simple operation to make a new text file and save it as a UTF8 file? Ok, read your reply, but still, why not a plus button to make a new file quick?

Hi, the default encoding/charset for opening a file is "auto" (you can change it in Settings) but if it cannot detect the encoding it uses UTF8 . You can also change it in the Save dialog by pressing "more options". When saving in any encoding (the format in which the text is written to file), it does not change the open document so nothing to Undo
I love the app, however, since updating to the most recent version, I can open a existing file but when I went to create a new document, the app closed. Please fix the "bug." I really do find this app useful. Thank you.

it breaks indentation and doesn't allow for putting in code snippets by pasting without having to manually edit every single line.

A drop after an update usually means the update broke something.
