CompTIA A+ practice test & exam prep for 220-1201 & 220-1202, options explained
Read full description
An independent CompTIA A+ practice test and study app for both exams: Core 1 (220-1201) and Core 2 (220-1202). Practice by domain, read why every option is right or wrong, then sit 2 timed 90-question mock exams for each Core. Independent study tool; not affiliated with CompTIA, Inc.
WHAT YOU GET
• 509 reviewed practice questions across all nine domains of the two exams: 240 for Core 1 and 269 for Core 2
• An explanation for every option, not only the correct one
• References on each question so you can check the answer yourself
• 2 timed mock exams for each Core (4 in total); every mock is 90 questions in 90 minutes, built from the domain weights CompTIA publishes, and no question appears in two mocks
• Save and resume: leave a session or a mock and pick it up where you stopped
• Domain progress so you can see which areas still need work
THE PORTS AND COMMANDS VAULT
Many A+ questions turn on details that have to be recalled cold: which port a protocol uses, which command shows an IP configuration, which connector fits which device. The vault keeps these as short cards and brings each one back on a spaced schedule, sooner when you miss it and later when you know it. Cards you keep missing are collected in one place so you can drill them before exam day.
WHO IT IS FOR
Help desk and desktop support candidates, students in IT programs, and career changers preparing for one A+ exam or both. Start with an A+ Core 1 practice test, move on to an A+ Core 2 practice test when you are ready, and keep the progress for both Cores in one app.
ABOUT CORE 1 AND CORE 2
The CompTIA A+ exam is two separate tests. Core 1 (CompTIA A+ 220-1201) covers mobile devices, networking, hardware, virtualization and cloud computing, and hardware and network troubleshooting. Core 2 (CompTIA A+ 220-1202) covers operating systems, security, software troubleshooting and operational procedures. Each exam allows up to 90 items in 90 minutes and is scored on a 100–900 scale; Core 1 passes at 675 and Core 2 at 700. Mocks are separated by Core.
WHAT A MOCK IS (AND IS NOT)
If you were looking for an A+ exam simulator, read this first: each mock is a timed practice exam with multiple-choice and choose-two questions, including troubleshooting questions. It does not include the drag-and-drop or performance-based items (PBQs) of the real exam, and the app has no PBQ practice. The 360 mock questions come from the same 509-question bank, so you will also meet them in domain practice.
CURRENT CONTENT
509 reviewed questions written for exam series 220-1201 and 220-1202, each with per-option explanations and references. Every question goes through blind solving and source-checked review before it is added. Questions are original practice items, not real or recalled exam questions. Use it alongside the exam objectives CompTIA publishes.
