Hi Hugh, The new FishLine 5.1.2 addresses your problem. It is because you installed FishLine and did not have Location Services enabled on your Android 5.x or 4.x phone. For FishLine to be useful, it requires Location Services to indicate the closest Fresh Seafood that is Local to your Particular Location. Please try FishLine again and update.
Concept is great, but listings seem limited for fresh seem to be limited to the area around Half Moon Bay, CA. There are three weekly dock sales I know of near me, and none of them are listed. It shows no events, and there is a big Salmon Festival in Stevenson coming this weekend. For this to be useful, the app needs to be more widely adopted by artisanal fishermen.

Great accurate application, easy to find the location to purchase crab.
Location feature does not work. I put in a Michigan zip code and got results for California. Next I put in a Boston zip and got no results.
Great app for connecting the community with fresh local seafood.
Very helpful.
Useless in Rhode Island because, except for a few lobster boats, fishermen are not using the app. Nearly all the seafood in RI is still imported and rarely fresh, even with the ocean a stone's throw away. RI consumers potentially have access to truly superior seafood, but I see them in local fish markets buying nothing but farmed salmon, so they are clearly part of the problem.

I rarely rate apps, and when i do it is usually to complain. This time it is to shout out how AMAZING this app is. Not only is it useful in finding the freshest fish one can buy, the stories by fisherman are great reads. I only wish there were more areas covered or more boats knew to post their catch on this. Thanks for making this great app!

“There should be an "ALL" button so I dont have to scroll thru each business name to find out if a particular fish is for sale off the boat.”
