Qrixly is a QR code scanner built for the codes you meet during an ordinary day: a menu on a table, a label on a box, a link on a poster.
Point the camera, read the result, decide what to do next. That is the whole idea. No long setup and no tour before your first scan.
What you can do
- Scan a QR code with your phone camera
- Read a code from an image already saved on your device, such as a screenshot or a photo someone texted you
- See the decoded content before you act on it
- Copy the result, share it, or open a link
- Look back through codes you scanned earlier
How it works
1. Open Qrixly and allow camera access so the scanner can see the code.
2. Hold the code inside the frame. Move a little closer or further back until it reads.
3. Read the decoded content on screen.
4. Copy it, share it, or open the link.
5. Need it again next week? Check your scan history.
Where a QR scanner earns its place
Restaurant tables and coffee shop counters. Parking meters and transit fare gates. Conference badges and event check-in desks. Shipping labels in the mailroom. Product packaging in a store aisle. Wi-Fi details taped to the wall of a rental. Utility bills, sales tax receipts, and vendor invoices. Trade show booths, business cards, and museum placards.
Who this is for
- Retail and restaurant staff checking prices, stock labels, and table menus
- Small business owners organizing receipts and invoices before filing taxes
- Event organizers running check-in at the door
- Delivery drivers and warehouse teams scanning parcel and shelf labels
- Teachers and students opening handouts and classroom links
- Office admins sharing Wi-Fi and contact details with visitors
- Travelers reading boarding passes, tickets, and hotel information
- Anyone who would rather scan a code than retype a long address from a printed page
Check before you tap
A QR code hides its destination. Qrixly shows you the decoded text first, so you can look at the address before you open it. If a sticker was stuck over another one, or the link does not match the business it claims to come from, close it and walk away. That habit does more for you than any setting inside an app.
If a code will not read
- Wipe the camera lens
- Add light, or step out of direct glare
- Flatten a curled or folded label
- Move closer for a small code, further back for a large one
- For a code on a screen, turn the screen brightness up
Questions people ask
Do I need to take a photo? No. Hold the code in the frame and the scanner does the rest.
Can it read a code from a screenshot? Yes. Pick the image from your device instead of using the camera.
What can a QR code contain? A web address, plain text, contact details, Wi-Fi network information, a payment reference, or a ticket number.
Does it work on a laptop or TV screen? Yes. Codes shown on a screen read the same way as printed ones.
Why does it ask for the camera? Scanning is a camera job. There is nothing to read without it.
Can I find yesterday's scan? Yes, open your history.
Permissions
Camera access is used to read codes. That is what the scanner looks through.
Qrixly stays deliberately plain. A QR code scanner should open, read the code, and get out of your way. If something about it slows you down, tell us and we will look at it.
