Find a color you love, then learn how to make it with the art supplies you already own.
ColorMix turns any color into a simple recipe for your colored pencils, crayons, markers or paints. Pick a shade on the color wheel or type in a hex code, and ColorMix works out which of your colors to blend, how much of each, and in what order.
MADE FOR WHAT YOU HAVE
Tell ColorMix what is in your kit and every recipe uses only those colors. Choose a brand and set, untick the colors you lost or used up, or add your own. Recipes change with the medium:
• Paints: how many parts of each color, and which to add first
• Watercolor: the mix plus how much water to use
• Colored pencils, crayons and oil pastels: which colors to layer, light to dark, and how hard to press
• Markers: the layering order for a smooth blend
YOUR PAPER MATTERS TOO
The same pencil looks different on white, cream, toned, black or kraft paper. Pick the surface you are working on (paper, canvas or wood) and ColorMix accounts for it, especially for transparent media like pencil, watercolor and marker.
SCAN YOUR OWN SWATCHES
Color a small patch with each pencil or crayon on any sheet of paper and take one photo. ColorMix finds each patch, reads its real color and matches it to your set, so recipes are based on how your supplies actually look on your paper. You can fix any match before saving.
HONEST RESULTS
Each recipe shows your target next to the predicted result and tells you how close it gets. If your set cannot reach a color, ColorMix says so and gives you the nearest option.
