Ai transcription does not work well, it does not identify speakers well. I gave it a test audio with 3 speakers and it identified 41 speakers. Would not recommend.
This app ticked a lot of boxes for me. I work with sensitive information and I refuse to pay a subscription. Too few things run locally and I will always pick something that runs off my device first. Encryption is worth the cost alone and the app works very well so far.
Not good. Recording volume is very low, disturbed. The transcription even worst. Tested on a Teams meeting , placing the phone (samsung s20) in front of the laptop, in a silent environment. Transcription passed to chat gpt for post processing. A tye same time used another device for the recording (iflytek). Quality of Iflytek 3 times better. It is a pity, because it was a good cheap idea

Hey Claudio. I tried understanding the issue but I dont think I do fully. Are you saying the recording was not picked up when the volume of the people speaking is low like an online meeting with low volume? we are actively trying to improve also ChatGPT and other large language models like it will always be more accurate since viska is fully local.
the phone chece comes to late. you need to be able to know if your device is compatable before bying the app. this makes no sense. lucally my first testing worked, but i mainly tried it because i already payed for the app. put it to one star as the app started crashing. as said, validate a device before payment..

It didn't meet my exact needs but it might for you, which is why I gave it four stars specifically because the developer is responsive and will back up his product, as I personally experienced myself.

transcriptions are improving with every release. great app - works quickly and accurately. I'm just using the light weight (fast) AI model and it works perfectly. Recent addition of speaker identification is a game changer for interviews.
Checked for reviews and stuff but couldn't find many but what meager ones there were convinced me to buy this. Tested it and it works great on my android. It really is what it says it is, local offline speech to text and with offline AI ability to ask questions about the transcripts. Excellent job to the developer!

App is not polished enough yet. I renamed my file while it was transcribing and it caused an error. It won't transcribe the recording.

Hey Marcus, I tried replicating this multiple times and every time the transcription is happening I rename it has renamed with no issue. So It might be what you said or perhaps the transcription failed for other reasons, however, can you try going all the way down on the detail page of the audio there should be a re-transcribe/retry transcription.
