Know exactly when to leave for the hospital.
Contraction Timer is a one-button labor timer: tap when a contraction begins, tap when it ends, and the app does the math for you — how long it lasted, how far apart they are, and whether your pattern says it is time to go. All features require a subscription or a one-time purchase.
The hour your contractions get serious is not the hour to do arithmetic on a notepad. One big button, a clear summary of the last hour, and an honest alert the moment the pattern matches the rule you were given — 5-1-1, 4-1-1 or 3-1-1, whichever your hospital, birth center or midwife uses. No ads. No account. Nothing to set up while you breathe through the next one.
FEATURES:
• One button for everything: tap to start a contraction, tap to stop it
• Length, frequency and count worked out for you, updated live
• Your last hour at a glance: count, average length, average time between
• Time-to-go alert when your chosen rule is met — 5-1-1, 4-1-1 or 3-1-1
• Advice that matches where you are giving birth: hospital, birth center or a home birth, where the app tells you to call your midwife instead
• Before 37 weeks the app says call now instead of waiting for a rule
• A gentle check if a contraction has been running far too long — you can discard it, keep it, or set the end time yourself
• Undo the last stop, edit any entry, add one you timed by hand, delete what should not be there
• A chart of the minutes between contractions, so a tightening pattern is visible, not guessed
• Optional intensity per contraction: mild, moderate or strong
• Share a PDF contraction log with your doctor, midwife or delivery ward
• Export the raw timings as CSV for your own records
• Hospital bag checklist, prewritten for your birth place and split into documents, for you, for baby and for your partner
• Add, rename or remove any item; the list is yours
• One optional weekly nudge until the bag is packed, then it stops
• Keep the screen on while you time, so the phone does not lock mid-contraction
• Light and night appearance, because most of this happens at 3 AM
• Everything stays on your phone — no account, no sign-up, and you can delete every contraction in one tap
• No ads, anywhere
Time your contractions, watch the pattern build, and leave for the hospital knowing what your last hour actually looked like.
This app is not a medical device. It cannot tell you whether your labor is normal or safe. Always follow the instructions your doctor, midwife or maternity ward gave you, and call them if anything worries you — do not wait for a rule to be met.
