When a scanner is offline it means Broadcastify.com (where the app gets most of its audio) isn't currently receiving audio from the volunteer who provides it, usually due to computer or Internet problems on their end. Many other scanners are online, and if the problem continues you can send feedback from inside the app.

The app is good itself, no problem with how it works or anything... Just sucks that I can't pick up any police by me anymore, just fire dept

Police audio for your area comes from a local volunteer's own scanner sent to Broadcastify.com, so it only returns if they (or someone else nearby) start providing it again. Hope that helps explain it, and glad the app is working well for you otherwise!

Glad you're enjoying it! To hear when a major event is happening on a scanner without watching the app, tap Settings at the bottom of the screen, then "Alert Settings", and check the "Alert notifications" checkbox.

Glad you're enjoying it! To find scanners that were just added, tap Browse at the bottom of the screen, tap "All" at the top, then choose "Browse by Newest."

If you'd like a heads-up when something big is happening without keeping the app open, tap Settings at the bottom of the screen, then "Alert Settings", and check "Alert notifications". You'll get notified when a major event is occurring on a scanner.
