🐚 What do real hermit crabs do when a new shell turns up? They line up! The biggest crab moves into the new shell and leaves its old one behind; the next, smaller crab takes that one... Scientists call this a "vacancy chain". In Shell Swap: Hermit Crabs, you start the chain! Drop an empty shell in the right spot, watch the crabs trade homes one by one and move every crab into a shell that fits. A cute, clever 3D puzzle game inspired by real science. 🔗 START THE SHELL CHAIN • Drag an empty shell on the sand with your finger and drop it somewhere: nearby crabs rush over to see it. • The crabs line up BY SIZE, biggest first. If the empty shell is better than its own, a crab moves in and leaves its old one behind; that freed shell passes to the next, smaller crab. • While you drag, a glowing ring shows in advance which crabs will come. • Tap while a chain is running to speed it up. 🦀 MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY • A crab is happy in a shell of its own size or one size bigger; tight, loose or far too big shells make it unhappy. • Make every crab happy before the tide comes in, which means before your moves run out. • The fewer the moves, the more the stars: start a huge chain with one smart move and collect 3 stars! 🌊 8 SHORES, 120 LEVELS • Calm Cove, Rocky Shore, Gull Beach, Octopus Cave, Coral Reef, Storm Beach, Litter Beach and Royal Lagoon. • Rolling rocks open and block paths; gulls eye your empty shells; the octopus trades for a hidden shell. • Ribboned picky crabs only move into shells of their own color; storm waves sweep away shells on the shore. • Litter is no home for a crab: clean up the beach!
