Practice math with numera!
Math practice from times tables to calculus. Every step explained. Offline.
Math clicks when you practise it. Numera is a math practice app built around short rounds of ten questions. Pick a topic, pick your level, and start. Get one wrong and you see the correct answer straight away — and every topic comes with a written explanation: four clear steps and a worked example. No account, no sign-up, no internet needed. Open the app and go. WHAT YOU PRACTISE — 25 TOPICS - Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division - Times tables, from 1x1 up to 12x12 - Fractions: adding, subtracting, common denominators, simplifying - Decimals, percentages and negative numbers - Powers, square roots and cube roots - Order of operations, including brackets - Algebra: solving linear equations for x - Quadratic equations by factorising - Geometry: area and perimeter of rectangles, squares and triangles - Ratio and proportion - Mean, median and range - Variance and standard deviation - Probability, including two independent draws - Functions, graphs and the gradient between two points - Exponential growth and logarithms - Trigonometry: sine, cosine and tangent - Differentiation and derivatives - Integration, antiderivatives and definite integrals THREE LEVELS PER TOPIC Easy, medium and hard. Start where you actually are and move up when it gets too comfortable. Every round is ten fresh questions, so you never grind through the same list twice. HELP WHEN YOU GET STUCK Every topic has a "how to solve this" page: a short introduction, four steps, and a fully worked example. It also names the mistakes people make most — mixing up area and perimeter, losing a minus sign, ignoring the brackets that change the order of operations. PRACTISING FOR A TEST Find the topic your test covers and run a few rounds on medium. Missing a lot? Read the explanation and drop a level. Above ninety percent? Move up to hard. Ten minutes a day in the week before a test beats one long session the night before. Useful for class tests and end-of-year exams, GCSE and A-level maths, high school finals, board exams and college entrance tests. YOUR PROGRESS - XP and levels — every correct answer counts - Streaks: how many right in a row, plus your personal best - Accuracy per topic, so you can see where it breaks down - Topics you have mastered get marked off - A daily goal, small enough to actually keep up - Six milestones to collect: First Steps, Century, On Fire, Explorer, Sharpshooter and Scholar PRACTICAL - Works completely offline — on the bus, in a break, anywhere - No account and no email address - A round takes a couple of minutes - Sound effects on or off - Available in 31 languages WHO IT IS FOR Built for middle school and high school students. The arithmetic topics reach back to primary school, and the calculus topics reach forward into first-year university. Also handy if you tutor, if you are a parent practising alongside your child, or if you are an adult brushing up before an aptitude test. Maths does not get easier by looking at it. You learn it by working through questions, getting them wrong, and seeing exactly where you came off the rails. That is what Numera is built for.
