Arcade ear training: hear the sound, sing the note, flap on the beat.
Ear Hop is an arcade game that trains your ear. A little winged ear flies through gaps in the pipes. One tap is one flap. Every pipe asks a music question — and only the right gap lets you through.
FIVE GAMES IN ONE
Notes
Is the second note higher or lower? Then the game plays a C as a reference and a new note after it. Name the note and fly through its gap. It starts with C and G and grows to all twelve notes.
Intervals
Two notes play, one after the other. Which interval was it? Fly through the gap that names it. It starts with the octave and the fifth and grows to every interval in the octave.
Singing
Each pipe is shut by a gate. The game plays a note — sing it back and the gate opens. Any octave works, so low and high voices play the same game. The game shows the note you sing, so you learn to find the pitch and hold it.
Perfect pitch
One note, no reference. Which note was it? This is the hardest test for your ear. It starts with two notes and grows to all twelve.
Rhythm
The ear flies by itself and the music plays. Tap each note when it reaches the gold square. Early, late or missed taps make the ear lose control. The rhythm changes and grows from song to song.
WHY IT WORKS
Short runs, instant retry: a run takes seconds, so you play one more. Ear-training apps can feel like homework. Ear Hop feels like a game, and your ear gets better while you play.
The gaps are in pitch order — higher sounds on top, lower sounds below — so the screen itself teaches you what you hear.
The tempo rises slowly with every pipe, and new questions unlock as your score grows.
