The night never ends, and now it has a story. • Free to play: stages 1-5 and Horde waves 1-3. One purchase, the Full Game ($3.99, no subscription, no ads), opens the rest. • Easy and Normal modes. Hard unlocks after a strong win on Normal. • Soldiers roam your base and shoot what the light holds. • Mortars lob shells over an area; flamers have a firing arc. • Bosses with weak points, charges and tricks: flares and mines beat them. • Cheap flares, every stage.
Hold the searchlight. Your guns only shoot what the light shows.
It's pitch dark, and the monsters are coming out of the ruined city from every street. Your base stands in the middle with soldiers and turrets on the walls, but they can only shoot what the light shows them. You hold the searchlight. Touch to point the beam, drag round the lamp to swing it, hold to focus it. Whatever the light holds on for a moment, every gun in reach opens fire. Whatever it misses reaches your walls. • One light, every direction: the base is in the middle of the city, so the monster you're not lighting is the one at your wall. • The beam hurts: hold it on a monster and it burns and screams. The small ones panic and bolt, the big ones slow down. • Focus the beam into a hot spotlight that makes the guns hit harder, but watch the heat: push it too far and the lamp cuts out. • Three lenses to swap mid-fight: a wide Floodlight, UV that keeps monsters marked for the guns, and a Strobe that slows them. • Twelve kinds of monster: crawler swarms that dodge the beam, armored brutes, stalkers with no glowing eyes, moths and spitters that go for the lamp, bloaters that burst into acid, screamers that rally the pack, burrowers that tunnel under your wall, leapers that jump it, light-eaters that dim your lamp, and two bosses. • Bosses you beat with skill: the behemoth shows a weak point only now and then, charges the base when it lines up, and can be baited away with a flare or stunned with a mine. • The night never ends: after the tenth stage the city holds, and the next night is harder. A boss every fifth stage, and nights of fog, blackouts, swarms and storms, each announced before it starts. • Design your base: place turrets wherever you like and move them between stages; add a barracks, a mess tent, lamp posts, a lookout and decoy bunkers. Four walls that scar as they fall; let one fall and the monsters pour in at the core. • Soldiers move freely inside the base and shoot the nearest thing the light has caught. Train them up between stages. • Machine guns, mortars that burst over an area, and flamers that fire only outward, plus mines, spike strips and flares, very cheap, to light a street. • Survivors run for the base, creeping in the dark and running in the light, and they carry rifles. Bring one home and they man a wall and pay you in scrap. • Easy and Normal modes. Hard unlocks once you win Normal with a high score. • A short story to start the night, recorded sound and a dark ambient score, with a Music switch in the pause menu. • Plays offline, no account, no ads. The Full Game is one purchase ($3.99, no subscription) that opens every stage and unlimited Horde; it follows your store account to your other devices, and Restore purchases is on the title screen.
