The app could be improved by using 1) natural numerical sorting rather than lexicographical sorting such that number "2" is sorted before "10"; and 2) batch copy of different files to different directories on destination storage drive and play a selectable sound when batch copying is done. Anyway, thanks Colin for the app.

Can do root. UI is familar
AUG 2026 : Been using for root operations since 2011. Previous: Root Explorer's (RE) multiple tabs , display of permission bits and date, mount mode, sorting and overall speed make RE my choice for root operations.

not sure if you can do this or not but any chance when I rename a file by default can you highlight the text before the extension? ie picture.png it highlights picture by default so I can paste text to rename it?

“I LOVE this app!”
“I can't think of a feature I wanted that it didn't have, including nearly all of Unix' cp, mv, find, chmod, tar, ln -s, and so on.”
“I personally believe this is one of the best file explorer for Android, original pure design with minimum distraction; SMB support is flawless; customization…”
“Using this app for years now, it's straightforward with a clean ui when compared to most of the others - would love it more if possible to search in the back…”
“But the free version of this app has been my absolute favorite file navigation app for 5 years now, and I wanted to support the developers for the awesome app.”
