Virus Scanner checks your Android phone and tablet for malware, risky permissions, and suspicious apps — on your device, with nothing uploaded. Tap Scan and Virus Scanner checks your installed apps and files. It flags risky permissions apps have actually been granted, apps installed from outside Google Play, outdated apps, and files in Downloads, Documents, and Pictures, including disguised files that look like a document but end in an executable extension. A Full scan also checks app files for the EICAR antivirus test string. Every finding explains itself and offers a real action: open App Info, check Google Play for an update, or uninstall with the system's own confirmation. Nothing is deleted silently. Virus Scanner is honest about Android's limits: without root, no app can scan inside other apps' private folders or system files. If your phone is already rooted, an opt-in Root Deep Scan lists those areas read-only and reports the counts separately. The app never roots your phone, and Developer Options alone is not root. Free: Quick, Basic, and Full manual scans, Light protection, the Emerald theme, and a home-screen widget showing your last scan. Premium adds Full Defense and all six themes: $1.99 a month, $9.99 a year, or $19.99 for lifetime. Monthly and yearly plans include a 7-day free trial; cancel before day 7 or you will be charged.
