Gap Click by Benny Greb

Good app but works badly in the background. when I open any pdf to see the score, in a few minutes the metronome breaks. I turned off background restrictions for the app and battery saving features are off too. Android 16, Nothing OS 4.1. For pdf reading I use google files app.

I like that the app is entirely devoid of anything that distracts from the point. I opened it, immediately understood it, and was actually using it within a few seconds. It feels far more effective than the usual click, it really targets your internal timing "muscles" in a way that you can literally feel. I felt like I got more beneficial practice and more valuable understanding of the time itself after just a few minutes of use. I am very excited for this... I am sharing it with enthusiasm.

Great concept, limited execution. There is no option for a count-in, so you have to wait a full cycle to pass before joining in. If the second half of the cycle is silence, then coming in at the repeat is tricky. Additionally, the options for the second half of the cycle are mostly unusual divisions, no options for simple half or whole notes. It makes sense that this was designed by a drummer for drummers, but I think it could be useful to a lot more people with a few adjustments.

Great App!

Best app for timekeeping. Using a gap measure will force you to play tighter and cleaner. Highly recommend for any instrument, not just drums!

I've been using this app for a while now. the gap idea is awesome but for a regular meternone there's a lot of small things that are frustrating. One of them being you can't use it if you're not on the app. it eventually stops playing or glitches to like 1000bpm. It also doesn't work with Bluetooth for some reason

absolutely brilliant, so good for improving timing and challenging your timing skills. as a drummer I've found it really helpful in working on improving overall pocket and in particular maintaining the groove thru complex fills. love it.

Good practice tool that is worth picking up at this price. It would be 5 stars if it had a count-in feature, where you could hear a bar in quarter notes or whatever before the gap started.

great metronome tool

Great App. Maybe add a functionality where after a certain number of bars the gap bar can increase by 1 that will be a cool addition so that I don't have to stop and manually change the gap bars.
